A security domain is any collection of logical or physical elements subject to a common security policy defined by the domain’s Policy Authority and ratified by the domain owner. Where the domain owner has sufficient knowledge and expertise to define the security policy within their own domain, the domain owner may act as the domain’s Policy Authority.
